The Township has cancelled the spring hazardous waste drop off and shredding event. Oakland County is having a free shredding opportunity April 21st from 5-7PM at the Oakland County farmers Market, 2350 Pontiac Lake Rd.

Westchester Village Holiday Lights Contest 2020
Westchester Village Residents – Let’s Light It Up and decorate your homes for the Holidays!
Westchester Village Homeowner Association is sponsoring a Holiday Lights Contest. This contest is open to all Westchester Village homeowners current with Association dues.
- Homes must be decorated by Thursday, December 10 by 6:00 pm.
- Judging will take place on Thursday, December 10 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm (weather permitting)
- If judging is not possible on Dec. 10, the judging will be held on December 11 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm).
- Winners will be announced and contacted by Sunday, December 13, 2020.
- Winners will be posted on the HOA website and Nextdoor Westchester website (Nextdoor.com).
- Judges will be chosen from the HOA Neighborhood Activities Committee.
Contest Rules and Judging Criteria
- Contestants must be a member-in-good-standing of the Westchester Village subdivision (i.e. residents who are current in their HOA dues this year and years past).
- Lights must be turned on during the judging times of 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Thursday, December 10, 2020. If you are not interested in participating in the contest you can consider turning off your lights during that time.
- Judges’ home displays are not eligible to win.
- CURB APPEAL: How does the display look overall? Does it make you say “WOW”?
- THEME: Does the display have a singular theme: winter, religious, secular and etc.?
- UNIFORMITY OF COLOR: Use of color appears planned rather than looking as if whatever lights were in the attic were just pulled out and used.
- ORGANIZATION OF LAWN ORNAMENTS
- INSTALLATION BY HOMEOWNER: All lighting displays must be installed by the homeowner. No installation companies or designers. Displays installed by contractors will not be accepted or judged.
- DISPLAY LOCATION: Judged display must be visible from the street.

- 1st Place: $100 Visa Gift Card
- 2nd Place: $50 Visa Gift Card

2020 Westchester Village Halloween Parade
Happy Halloween Everyone!
Residents of Westchester Village are invited to the 2020 Westchester Village Halloween Parade!
When: Saturday, October 31, 2020
Time: 3:30 to 5:30 pm
Where: 218 Hillboro Road for the Parade line-up
Hillboro will be closed between Wadsworth and Dalebrook.
Schedule of Events:
- 3:30 – 4:00 pm – Parade march down Hillboro
- 4:00 – 4:30 pm – Halloween Obstacle Course
- 4:30 – 5:00 pm – Interactive singing and dancing
- 5:00 pm – Raffle Prize Give-a-Way
All events will observe social distancing and CDC Guidelines. Candy and prizes will be handled safely.
